Description Cultural Notes Plant Care
Sedum spurium 'John Creech' (Sedum, Stonecrop). Dr. John Creech, of the U.S. National Arboretum, discovered this little beauty in the Siberian Academ Gorodok Gardens. The diminutive, scalloped green leaves of this thick groundcover are topped with mauve-pink starry flowers in late summer and fall. Cool weather turns the leaves a pretty burgundy color. It is extremely hardy and wonderful weaving in and out of stepping stones, or along a garden path. Ideal for green roofs, rock gardens and containers as well.
