Description Plant Care
Phlox divaricata 'Blue Moon' (Woodland Phlox). Phlox divaricata Blue Moon was discovered at the New England Wildflower Society in Farmingham, Massachusetts. A native to the U.S. brings beautiful fragrant blue-violet flowers to us in the early spring. The flowers are arranged in clusters with each flower containing 5 petals appearing delicate and dainty. In warmer climates the foliage is evergreen. Woodland Phlox is a perfect selection for a rock garden or woodland garden. It is a great butterfly attractant, but also resistant to deer. Use as a groundcover, in beds or borders, in cut flower arrangements or in containers.
