Description Plant Care
Miscanthus sinensis 'Cabaret' (Japanese Silver Grass Cabaret). A deciduous, clump forming grass with very wide and ribbon-like foliage with a creamy-white center and dark green margins. Late season plumes emerge, a wonderful reddish purple before changing to tan, in September. Performs better with pronounced winter chill. Useful as a specimen grass, a garden accent, planted in mass, cut for fresh flower bouquets, and is even remarkable as a container plant. Prefers well-draining soil in full sun. Considered deer resistant once established. Like all miscanthus, clumps will benefit from being cut back hard in the spring to encourage new growth.

  • Salt Tolerant
