Verbenas are superb ground covers remarkable for their dazzling, extravagant color, extraordinarily long season, and superior performance even in hot, exposed locations and poor, dry soils. A very vigorous grower with dark pink flowers, and mid green foliage, from May until September. Plant in full sun in well drained soil. "Homestead Pink Verbena" tolerates most soil types and drought well. Deadhead to encourage rebloom. In mild winters it remains evergreen and continues to bloom.
