This 'lamb's ear' cultivar is grown primarily for its dense rosettes of thick, soft, velvety, silver-gray leaves which typically form a rapidly spreading mat 4-6" off the ground. Spreads by runners. Leaves are evergreen in warm climates, but will go dormant in harsh winters. Rarely produces flower spikes. Tends to rot in humid summer climates. Avoid overhead watering. Plant in average garden soil in full sun. Appreciates some light afternoon shade in hot climates. Well-drained soils are essential. Considered deer and rabbit resistant once established.
