Fragrant, salmon-pink flower clusters with a darker ruby eye, on large 7" flower heads, bloom mid-summer through early fall. Needs good air circulation. Avoid overhead watering. The dark green foliage is highly resistant to mildew. Prefers moderately fertile, medium wet, well-drained soil. Appreciates a summer mulch to keep the root zone cool. Full sun to light shade. Attracts hummingbirds, butterflies and birds. Excellent cut flower. Don't deadhead spent flowers because phlox reblooms from its flowerhead. Remove old growth at ground level after killing frost or before new growth emerges in spring. Common Name: Tall Garden Phlox
