This Phlox emerges as cornflower blue in the cooler temperatures of morning. During the heat of the day blue turns to violet, and then back to blue as temperatures fall at night. As flowers age, they become violet red from the edges to the center. Fragrant, dome-shaped flower clusters bloom from June through August. This tough, classic perennial is a must-have in any garden.
