| Although not winter hardy in northern areas, this is an outstanding, durable, very showy ornamental grass with green foliage that forms a graceful, arching, slightly upright mound. Nodding, 12 inch long flower spikes are an attractive purplish-pink color and are excellent as cut flowers. Does not generally set seed. Prefers well-draining soil in full sun, but tolerates partial shade. Also tolerant of high temperatures, high humidity, high wind, drought, acidic to alkaline soils, and is pest free. Makes a dramatic statement anywhere in the landscape! |
