This grass moves at the slightest breath of wind and looks choice in combination with Aster frikartii and Sedum 'Autumn Joy'. Mexican feather grass is an exceptional pick for erosion control on sunny slopes. It politely reseeds itself and is not a pest. Nassella's flowers are feathery, starting out green, then turning a buff tan color.

Run a rake through it in late winter to early spring to take out dead grass.

I have just received my first shipment of plants from you folks, and I have to say that I am very impressed! The packaging and all the plants arrived in tiptop shape, which is more than I can say for many other garden mail order centers I've ordered from. And that you put a cold pack into the package to keep the plants fresh is a great idea. I'm sure that had something to do with the plants looking so good when they arrived.
You've got me as a customer for a very long time. Thanks again for such considerate packaging and very healthy and good looking plants ready for my garden!
