This robust, clump forming, slow spreading grower is one of the more underused miscanthus varieties, but it has a lot to offer! 'Malepartus' is best known for its large and abundant blooms, emerging purplish-pink and turning silver with maturity. Its fall foliage is another beautiful feature, as it transforms from a medium green to a deep bronze in late summer. Prefers well-draining soil and ample water in hot, dry conditions. Full sun to bright shade. Considered deer resistant once established.
