Santa Rosa Gardens

A new addition to the Misacanthus family!  Miscanthus sinensis Gold Breeze is very similar to Miscanthus Gold Bar with the same horizontal banding, but Gold Breeze offers some new features.  Whereas Gold Bar is dark green with gold banding, Gold Breeze is an apple-green color with more occurrences of the gold banding.  Gold Breeze also reaches 5-7 ft. in height as opposed to 3-5 feet.  The overall appearance of their foliage also differs with Gold Bar having more of an erect appearance, whereas Gold Breeze has more of a cascading habit.  Late in the summer deep red airy inflorescence will emerge and remain until early winter.  This ornamental grass will do exactly as the name suggests, it will sway with all of its gold glory in the breeze.
