Bluer and more heat and humidity resistant than L. arenarius. Best used in open areas, but can be contained with minimum effort. Perfect for controlling soil erosion problems and for covering hillsides. Try planting in copper containers for a stunning effect!
Blue Dune Lyme Grass is particular useful in coastal area because of its tolerance to sand, sun, and drought. Flowers June-August. Cut down in late fall or early spring to allow all new, clean foliage to show to the best advantage. Prefers heavy soil and is tolerant of water extremes. It is also tolerant of summer heat and humidity. Plant in full sun to light shade. Considered deer resistant when mature.
