Semi-evergreen, eye-catching, silver and green, veined foliage grows in compact mounds. Forms slowly spreading thick clumps, but is not considered invasive. Soft golden-yellow flowers appear in late spring to early summer. Semi-evergreen. Excellent choice for woodland gardens, groundcover and borders, and even in containers. Best in very bright filtered light, but little direct sunlight. Tolerates poor soil, as long as it is well-drained. Tolerant of occasional dry spells, and is considered deer resistant when mature.
