Like green threads the dainty leaves of fiber optic grass form a 8-10 inch-tall mound. The fine, threadlike, folioage terminates with a little tuft of inflorescence. Clump forming growth habit. Prefers full sun to partial shade. Needs lots of moisture. Use as an annual in a container, at the edge of the water garden or in a terrarium. .  Native to the British Isles, Europe and Northern Africa
