The biggest hosta in the variety trial, 'Blue Angel' never fails to attract attention (like traffic-stopping attention). It has huge, blue-grey leaves, and the three plants make a circle 4 to 6 feet across! In the summer, this rich mound of foliage is topped and accented with spikes of large, pure white flowers. In the Elegans group. (Aden, 1986). Fast growing, emerges quickly in spring and by early May is already impressive. Award of Garden Merit (RHS).
