Santa Rosa Gardens

A new hybrid of Heuchera with many surprises!  The lobed foliage will begin with deep tones of rose seen through a silver layer atop the leaves and red-purple undersides with dark pronounced veining.  As the plant matures the leaves will fade to a lighter shade of rose and the veins will become less intense and the silver sheen will be more pronounced.  In the summer a red stemmed spire will rise up from the foliage and clusters of cream bell-shaped flowers will emerge.  The flowers are fuzzy and the stamens are showy providing textured look.  Heuchera Encore is tolerant of the heat and humidity, which makes a good candidate for the southeast.  This plant provides mounds of vivid color to a landscape.  Use as a single specimen, in masses, edging, or in containers.
