Cortaderia selloanna White
A signature plant of many beach communities. Large, bold appearance with huge feathery plumes, has made pampas grass widely used since the Victorian era. Giant white plumes are will emerge and are held upright, high above the gray-green foliage, in summer and persist through winter. Remains evergreen in mild climates.
Easy to grow in full sun in regular to sandy soil. Could take up to three years to reach full maturity. Clean up in spring to maintain a neat appearance.
Considered deer resistant when mature.
