A native (Eastern U.S.) groundcover, Chrysogonum or 'Goldenstar' is know for both its flowers and foliage. Blooms in a profusion of star shaped, dark yellow, daisy-like flowers, over mats of crinkled, dark-green leaves. Some rebloom in fall with cooler weather. Sun or shade, but prefers some shade. Perfect for the shade garden in hotter zones. Spreads well in rich, well-drained soil, but will tolerate much less than ideal conditions. Consisered deer resistant. Responds well to light fertilization.Common Name: Goldenstar
