This deep bronze-brown colored sedge makes a unique addition to the garden. Thin foliage is gracefully arching, forming an attractive mound. Winter and early season growth is tinged a beautiful coppery-pink, tipped with silver. Great for container or rock gardens or as a border accent. Moist, well-drained soil in full sun to light shade. Will politely self-sow in the garden, but not considered invasive. Its color and elegant form make it particularly useful for winter containers where it looks good planted with spring bulbs and ivies. It is also useful for providing winter interest in the herbaceous border when other plants have died back. Like most perennial grasses it will benefit from a tidy up in the spring to remove any dead foliage and encourage new growth. Finger comb in July-August to clean out any dead leaves.
