What is most striking about this begonia is its textured foliage; you could see it from a mile away! The leaves are heart shaped, fuzzy, and puckered. The veins of the leaves are outlined in bright green while a deep burgundy fills in the background. While this plant is not very cold hardy there are steps you can take to better your chances of it returning the next year. Mulch properly and allow the foliage that has died back to remain; this helps insulate the plant protecting it from cold temperatures. Use as a bedding plant, in a container, or as a houseplant.
