Bonita Shea Begonia has much to offer. The foliage is a constant interest with their twisted appearance, texture, and many colors. The flowers emerge white then later turning pale pink. This begonia has a very long blooming time from early summer to early fall and has great heat tolerance. While this plant is not very cold hardy there are steps you can take to better your chances of it returning the next year. Mulch properly and allow the foliage that has died back to remain; this helps insulate the plant protecting it from cold temperatures. Use as a bedding plant, in a container, or as a houseplant.
