Thirty inch long, slender plumes of clear, bright pink flowers ( the more rich the soil, the darker the flower color), above bushy, glossy, dark green foliage. Bronze-red new foliage turns deep green by the end of summer. Plant in partial to full shade, in leafy, organically rich soil with ample moisture. Good in containers and is an excellent cut flower, and will attract butterflies to the garden! It is considered deer and rabbit resistant once established.
Part shade. Full sun will be tolerated in cool climates if the plants are kept well watered.
Soil: Plant in a rich, free draining soil.
Watering: Water well during hot, dry spells whilst the plant is growing.
Fertilizing: Apply annual feed of general purpose fertilizer once plant starts to shoot. You can also mulch with well composted manure over Winter.
