Arundo formosana Taiwan Grass

Thought to be introduced to the United States from China, formosana is a smaller version of the Arundo donax, with a similar bamboo-like appearance. Formosana is a clumping plant, although it grows rhizomously. Its blooms are light and airy, opening pink and turning a buff color.
