Description
 
The species was first discovered growing in Arkansas in 1942 by Leslie Hubricht. It is truly one of the most outstanding of the blue stars. Amsonia hubrichtii Blue Star is a long-lived, graceful and upright plant with clusters of cool blue flowers in May and June. The outstanding golden color of its narrow-leafed foliage in the fall expands its seasonal interest.
