Lush, almost black-burgundy, glossy leafed foliage. Excellent groundcover for moist, semi-shaded areas. Blooms are stunning, bright blue flowers on 3 inch spikes in late spring through early summer. Does best in fertile, well-drained soil. Situate in morning sun with afternoon shade, or in filtered light; allows ajuga to really look its best. Excellent used for borders and in mixed containers, as well as in areas where grass is shade-challenged. Fast grower. Space 6-12" apart when used as a groundcover.Common Name: Mahogany Bugleweed
