Description Cultural Notes Plant Care

Agastache 'Black Adder' (Anise Hyssop, Mexican Hyssop, Hummingbird Mint). A long-flowering cultivar, Black Adder boasts numerous bottlebrush flowers of vivid blue flowers which emerge from darker purple buds. It starts to bloom in midsummer and continues until early fall. Use this perennial to provide color in the garden late in the season when many other plants are finished. Black Adder's foliage smells distinctly like black licorice when crushed, thus its common name, Anise Hyssop. Suitable for gardens in the Coastal South, and an excellent choice for container gardening!
